The Stanardsville Baptist Church (SBC) Food Pantry is a food collection and distribution program that helps local residents who need groceries. It has been Greene County's USDA surplus food distribution center since 1995. Every 3rd Wednesday of each month members meet to sort and distribute food to an ever increasing number of families. Many of our families are referred to us by local civic and human services organizations, but walk-ins are served also. Over two grocery bags full of canned and non-perishable food items are given out each month, depending upon availability.
